After talking to my mom, I found the obituary for one of her cousins,David, in the Houston Chronicle.
DAVID TYSON DeLAFOSSE, 52, a loving husband and father, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. He was a graduate of Texas A & M University and was an avid Aggie. He worked as a chief cost engineer in the petroleum industry. David is survived by his loving wife, Brandy DeLafosse; sons, Tyson DeLafosse, Taylor DeLafosse and wife Kim; daughter, Amanda DeLafosse; father, Floyd DeLafosse; brothers, Floyd DeLafosse, Paul DeLafosse and wife Stacey; sister, Dawn Triska and husband Jay; grandson; Conner DeLafosse; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and loving friends. My middle name is after the 'Dawn' mentioned in his obituary.
And then I found the obituary for my mom's other cousin, Lynn, again from the Houston Chronicle. Lynn's husband, Michel, also passed away this week.

LYNN VIEJOBUENO, 54, born November 30, 1953 in Houston, TX to Weldon West Morris and Geraldine Hooper Morris, passed away May 13, 2008. Lynn was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She was known to many for her work as a Realtor and hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her father and by her son, Cristian Raul Viejobueno and is survived by her daughter, Stephanie C. Wilson and husband, Byron; son, Nicholas M. Viejobueno and fiance, Holly M. Krueger and her son, Jayden; mother, Geraldine H. Morris; grandchildren, Malaniea Cordero, Brady and Cooper Wilson.
