That Friday, Rick & Regina took my family to see the play, 'Peter Pan' at Guyer high school. It's the same production that Elaine's class watched 40 minutes of. The director and cast are regular customers at Costume & Dance World. My family met us at the store. Jim brought dinner to the store for those of us leaving to see the play. Regina glittered my kids with glitter "fairy dust".
There was open-seating, so we had to stand in line before the show began. We were at the theatre 45 minutes before the play began. I was surprised how well the kids handled watching the long show. Allan wiggled, but was good.
There was a scene performed in front of the closed proscenium curtain. Allan yelled, "you can't be in the show THERE." It was a loud pirate scene, so I don't think he disturbed anyone. Elaine said she was sleepy at the end of the show, but she wanted to keep watching. After the performance, as we exited the theatre space, the cast met the audience in the lobby. Allan walked up behind 'Capt.Hook' (played by one of my regular customers) and pulled on the back of his long red coat, saying "excuse me excuse me". Hook turned around, said Hello and asked Allan if he'd like to shake hands. Allan shook the Hook, without hesitation.
Then Allan went over to the person dressed as the Crocodile and started to pet them on the head, rather ROUGHLY. lol. Everyone was a good sport.
I started painting the Christmas windows at the store. So far, I've begun the secular window and have yet to begin the Christian window. I may still add some Dickensian characters, given enough time. *As always, clicking on any of the pictures, will let you see a larger image*
The Grinch.
After discussing it with Rick, we decided to skip doing an Autumnal window in favor of Christmas. I'd spend a week painting the fall window and then it'd get washed away in 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. Not worth it!
My mom's visit has been postponed to Christmas, instead of Thanksgiving. I have a really weird schedule this week. I'm home all but two nights. Rick said that he's trying to give me some time with my kids now, since I'll be working a lot around Thanksgiving. Most of my co-workers are leaving town; to Houston, Texarkana, New York, and Colorado. The mall is closed on Thankgiving day, so I'll be off then. We've invited Steven to have Thanksgiving with us.

Today I finished re-painting my office. This was my self-reward for all the work I did for October at the store. The fresh coat of paint makes a huge difference. :)
