Her favorite Barbies, no matter how many others she gets. I gave her my Alladin and Jasmine, and Esmerelda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame....she's still all about Cinderella and Snowwhite. Posted by Picasa

The humor of this photo is 2 or 3 fold: First of all, anyone who knows that Jimmy is the Daddy, could pick out Allan just on the butt crack alone. *chuckle* Also, Elaine had just lined up her Barbies in a row all recise and Allan moshed his way through her orderly play (I just gave her 12 of my barbies).  Posted by Picasa

Poem about scrapbooking I found

" Tomorrow Is Another Day"
Author Unknown

Procreations, celebrations,
Photos in a stack
Graduations and vacations
I just can´t keep on track.

Procrastination and delay
Was that Aunt Mabel and Uncle Voss?
Who are these people anyway?
I think I´m suffering memory loss.

Thirty pages in thirty days????
I can´t keep up the pace.
I´m dazed, I´m numb, I´m almost crazed
I´m sure I´ve lost the race.

Relax, breath deep and just remember
What Scarlett used to say
Even if it takes until December,
Tomorrow Is Another Day.

So far...

So far Spring Break has been about cleaning, organizing and catching up on things. Today the guys (Robert and Jimmy) worked on our car's breaks. Jim saw some wear and tear and was doing some preventative maintenance. 2 new tires, routers turned, new break pads and a professional alignment= all is well in the world of car breaks.
My big sister (Pamela) and her daughter (Kaylee) came over for a couple hours today to see the new trailor. Pam is hoping to find out the gender of her baby later this week. I think it'll be a boy, and I usually have good instints about this stuff. Plus, I'm hoping to pass along Allan's clothes to her. (Might as well keep them in the family).
Tomorrow I'm gonna start getting caught up on physics concepts, since we have a test after spring break. I'm also gonna get AHEAD on my physics pre-lab work. I want to do well in the class.
Elaine got 4 more fish 3 days ago. All are orange (easily replaced upon their deaths). We've already lost 2 of them. Both got stuck between a fake plant and the aquarium's side. between the one's from Jim's coworker and the ones from the store... 6 out of 8 fish have died. Not a great track record.
* side note: Have yall ever heard the story of when Jimmy was Elaine's age and was taking care of his pet fish? He fed them Kool-aid, "because they looked thirsty" and all his fish died. I guess some thigns run in the family.

Allan was persistant tonight. He figured out how to open the yellow and purple windows. Up til now, he could only open the green push-button one...not any of the ones with knobs or switches. Posted by Picasa

This fireman must be injured to be in the back of the ambulance. Posted by Picasa

He was seeing which fireman figureines would fit with each vehicle. He's so Logical and curious. I love it. Posted by Picasa

Once he gains some more upper body strength, I'll be set. LOL Posted by Picasa

Midterms, 'Scapino', and Jimmy's fishtale

Things are starting to pick up the pace for the play I am working on. Randal has me re-designing my statues again (one will be more Art Deco). I start carving them out of styrofoam the Monday after Spring Break. I have one week to complete both carvings. They are 8 feet tall and about 2 feet wide.
Tomorrow morning after my physics class and physics lab, I have a Geology Midterm to take. Directly from the midterm, I start painting part of the set for 'Scapino'. We are painting some drops to look like thick curtains. Robert is watching the kids when Jimmy has to leave for work. I'll be painting until Jimmy gets off of work around 11pm. So I'll be on campus about 13 hours tomorrow. I'm packing a lunch and bringing a 'Lean Cuisiene' for Dinner. I'll be painting more on Thursday too, then nothing until after Spring Break.

During spring break, I am gonna finish getting my house in order. The blue room has some boxes that are still waiting to get unpacked. And I want to rake the backyard. Today Robert and Jimmy fixed the ceiling fan in our bedroom. The chain had broken out of it.
-----
A guy that Jimmy works with has a second job at a fish store. The guy said the store was gonna kill a bunch of fish with chlorine because they had too many in stock. The guy brought 4 fish in a small container to Ranchman's to give to Jimmy, because Jimmy has kids. Jimmy tried to politely turn the guy down, but it didn't work. So Jimmy came home from the restaraunt the other night at midnight with 4 pet fish. We didn't have any fishfood or even a good container to move them into. All 4 died within 24 hours. We were literally at Walmart buying a small aquarium for Elaine's fish and returned home to some floaters.
When Elaine saw the floaters she said, "Big Fish naptime upside down"

R-I-P "Big Fish", "Pink Fish", "White Fish" and "Orange Fish" (...next time we aren't letting Elaine name them.) Since we already have the food and the aquarium, Jimmy is fetching Elaine some fish this week. She says this time she wants "4 orange fish". These ones have better odds, since we actually have supplies.

Elaine put her tiarra on Allan telling me, "Baby Princess" He LOVED it. When it fell off, he tried to put it back on and then brought it to me to put back on his head. He got the same grin that he has when I put my bandanas on him, so I think he's reached the Hat-stage that Elaine was in for almost a year at his age. We'll get him a baseball cap or something! Posted by Picasa
