Saturday and Sunday (Christmas Eve)

Dave came over Saturday afternoon and we all went to Farmer's Branch for ice skating that night. Allan and I didn't skate, but the rest did. Everyone had a lot of fun. It wasn't until we were about to leave that I discovered an open area that overlooked the ice rink. There was snack machines and TVs, so I was able to calm Allan once he got fussy. The TVs only got ESPN, but that was fine with AlPal. After the ice rink, we all headed back to the trailer for Burrito night. Dave's buddy, Katie, joined us at both the rink and dinner. She has known the boys since they were all in junior high. The boys and I stayed up late that night. Dave stayed over.
Sunday was busy at church. There was standing room only, but Elaine and I snagged some seats for us girls. There was a funny video that Chuck made. He asked kids all over the church different questions about Christmas. He asked some kids "why Adults kiss under mistletoe?"... one of Elaine's friends (who is four) said "they kiss" and then my daughter added "And Mommy and Daddy and Baby!!" Everyone laughed thinking Elaine was saying that they kiss to produce a baby. Fun times. Chuck is getting Jim a copy of the video. We recieved our presents from our Secret Santas and Jeannie also got me a present. She's such a sweety. Jim had to finish fixing a laptop for Steve from church, so he did that while I made an easy lunch of leftovers. We piled in the car to see Christmas lights and drop off the laptop at Steve's house in Flower Mound (his daughter needed it this week). From the car we called Santa Claus for Elaine to talk to him. He was in Florida at the time. Elaine got a kick out of that. After looking at Christmas lights, we had an easy spagetti dinner and hung out at home. Elaine and Allan each opened one present early. Elaine got a Feliz Navidad Dora talking doll (from Micah) and Allan got a travel magna-doodle. Both the kids like both the toys, so that kept them occupied. Jim and Elaine made chocolate chip cookies for Santa and we put out oats for the reindeer. After the kids went to bed, Dave and I goofed off on his laptop watching NORAD track Santa.
